Quick Cultural Notes!
And So, I Fall » Devlog
Heya! Thanks to everyone who has downloaded the game so far. We hope you've enjoyed it. That said, we'd like to add a couple of quick cultural notes to provide context for things.
- Jie (pronounced jee-uh) is a short way of saying, in Chinese, "older sister"
- Ge (pronounced guh) is a short way of saying, in Chinese, "older brother"
- Note that friends don't typically call each other this, hence Sabie's comment to Masami on Day 3 - Before
- Xinyi's name is pronounced sin-yee and is of Chinese origin
- Sabie's name is pronounced sah-bee and is made up
- In case you were wondering, Masami and Xinyi are half Japanese, half Indo-Chinese, hence the cultural blending
If there are any additional points of clarification you'd like us to provide, there's another devlog coming up, so we can definitely answer it then. All the best! :)
