While we're all working on the next update, I just wanted to share game-related things via weekly-ish devlogs. This week is on random trivia about the characters. I'm not planning on exploring this universe further in another visual novel, but I do have a lot of thoughts on these characters, so consider them canon. If you haven't played the game in it's entirety before this, be warned that there is a minefield of **spoilers** ahead! ;)

How Drunk Were Masami and Nasir That Night?

Not nearly as much as they think they were. They were affected, yes, but a good chunk of it was really just unrealized gay panic. Masami was frankly just looking for something to blame for not being able to think straight. He'd also never had alcohol before so it was easier for him to justify his "out-of-character" decisions with that.

What Did Happen to Masami After His Suspension?

Nothing much, actually. His suspension was during finals season and, at his school, not every class has finals. If a class didn't have a final on its allocated day, then students weren't required to come to school. For that reason, Masami's disappearance wasn't really questioned as much, since he made up his missing finals pretty easily. Only his close friends knew.

It was a bit of a black mark on his record that likely kept him from getting into a number of top colleges, but he did end up at a good state school where he's pretty happy.

So...Did Masami and Nasir -

I'm getting to that. Yes, they got together, if the little hints in the story were any indication. My heart wouldn't be able to take it if they didn't. After the vigil on Day 3 - After, the two of them went on a little walk where they talked everything out. They agree to take things slow and try a couple dates first before they decide whether or not they want to be official. They also kiss properly. 

They don't know that Sabie, Tyree, Rohan, and Alyssa are all trailing them and have recorded it all. One of the shots was uploaded as the profile picture of the group chat (Nasir and Alyssa are now in it, too). Sabie keeps a particularly incriminating picture hostage on her phone to use as blackmail against Masami.

Speaking of everyone else's thoughts on the matter, Sabie and Rohan had no idea that Masami was bi (yes, he is bi) until the party. Sabie was a bit peeved initially that he never told her this, but came around pretty quick since she had new things she could annoy Masami with. Rohan was chill about it. Tyree already knew everything, of course.

Alyssa had pretty much figured it out a while back - Nasir had already confided in her earlier that year and she saw the way Masami and Nasir had started to look at each other some time since then. She did hold feelings for Masami during middle school, but like him, was confused about how she felt about him at present since she also got habitually flustered around him. Things were still a bit awkward between her and Masami for a time, but they eventually become close friends. I know Alyssa didn't get much screen time and character development, but I wanted to give her some closure. Feelings are rough and she is a good kid - she deserves nice things.

Anyways, Masami and Nasir do become official and go to prom together as "friends" (they're still very shy about this). They do have a solid long distance relationship after high school, though. Masami's parents came around to things. Nasir's parents took a while longer. Neither of the guys regret it.

The Boys' First Date

Masami and Nasir spend a night camping out in the old train car. It is a cold, clear night with a good view of the stars. The heater dies in the middle. Fortunately, they've brought warm enough clothes. Unfortunately, they only pack one sleeping bag (which is big enough for them to share at least). They spend the night huddled up together. They are both very flustered.

No, they do not try that thing with each other. Go to horny jail *bonk* >:(

How About Sabie and Rohan?

He tells her, but she's already suspected for some time. She turns him down because she's aro-ace, but doesn't make things awkward for him.  He never quite loses the feels for her completely because life is often like that, but they go together to prom as friends and continue to stay close.

Genshin Impact Co-Op Tendencies

• Masami usually mains Kazuha, though he will main Xiao if there's a good healer in the party (Sabie's crit Kokomi doesn't count). 
• For better or worse, Sabie, predictably, toggles between Klee and Hu Tao, so thankfully the Kokomi doesn't get used very often. She's also usually the first in the party to die. 
• Nasir mains Childe and Yae Miko, but will play Jean if Masami's Xiao doesn't have a healer. For the record, Masami's Xiao has never died on his watch.
• Rohan mains a C6 Beidou because "I like a character with a high skill floor" (not that anyone really believes that to be the real reason, but he nails her counter every time so...), but he also plays Amber pretty often. He's usually the last one standing when a domain or boss run goes south. 
• Alyssa usually mains healers with utility - she plays C6 Noelle and C6 Diona most often. Unlike Sabie,  her meme build of DPS Diona is actually very effective and very terrifying. However, if Nasir is on Jean, she'll play Kaeya.
• Tyree doesn't play. He likes to keep his sanity. But if he did, he would probably main Zhongli (Rohan is the only one to have him and he refuses to build him because "he makes the game to easy").
